A strategy matters only once it is actually in place, and the paperwork, transfers, and follow-up that get it there are where I spend most of my days. New clients work with me from their first set of forms onward, and I remain their point of contact for transactions, service questions, and anything that comes up between reviews. More than 25 years in banking taught me that the details nobody thinks about are usually the ones that cause trouble when they go wrong, so I would rather catch them early than explain them later.
What I enjoy is the problem-solving. Working alongside our advisor, I help identify the options available to someone and then handle the work of putting the chosen one into effect. Watching a client reach something they had been working toward for years has not gotten old yet, and I expect it never will.
Away from the office, I live in Strongsville, Ohio, where I spend as much time in the garden as the season allows and plan trips whenever the opportunity comes up. Time with my family is what I protect most carefully, and it is the reason the rest of it holds together.
